Camille Skagen presents SKAGEN ART, collections of hand-built pottery pieces from the forest of Val-David, in the Laurentians. She fashions large, hand-built vessels that happily step away from the rigidity of "perfect" design, using the surface as a canvas for vibrant folk-art designs and elements of art naïf. Combining functional pottery with spontaneous painting, she decorates her asymmetrical silhouettes with bright colors, simplified shapes, and traditional-inspired patterns.
